Assisting Nokia in relation to various corporate changes in its Latvian subsidiary.

Assisting Valmieras stikla šķiedra AS, a listed Latvian company - global leader in fibre glass production, on regular basis on the corporate governance issues (including preparation of standard contracts for client’s business activities and day-to-day matters and cross-border disputes).

Assistance to Baltcom TV, the leading cable TV operator, in acquisition of its competitor in Latvia, Interneta Pasaule SIA. Our law firm assisted with transaction documentation, negotiations and merger control filings.

Halting an award by Ministry of Education and Science to a preferred bidder on behalf of DEAC, a leading European virtual resources operator. The Procurement Monitoring Bureau found that the Ministry had unlawfully excluded DEAC from the procedure.

Convincing the Procurement Monitoring Bureau to quash an award of a contract for the supply of online data exchange system disks. The State Treasury, the procuring entity, deemed that the client, Datakom, a leading Latvian IT services provider, offered disks, which did not match the technical requirements.

Represented Latvia’s Telecommunications Association, alternative telecoms operators, in drafting national fixed termination rates rules.

Analysed competition aspects of Baltcom TV’s acquisition of SIA Interneta Pasaule, a cable company.

Fought for Baltcom TV’s 2,5 GHz spectrum usage rights before the national regulator and the European Commission.

Preventing exclusion of the client, Baltijas Biroju Tehnoloģijas, the leading dealer of interactive blackboards, from a Riga City tender for school equipment. The Procurement Monitoring Bureau agreed that the Riga City had tailored the tender for a preferred bidder.

Assessing amendments for a public procurement contracts signed by Tieto Latvia, member of the leading IT services company in Northern Europe. The amendments concerned clarifications of damages and penalties rules.
