Developing strategy for and implementing the initiative of the Latvian Association of Optometrists and Opticians to level the rules on accessibility to medical facilities for persons with disabilities. The differentiated rules prohibited members of the association from being registered as medical institutions and delivering services within the state scheme for medical care. The assistance involved liaising with the Ministry of Health and defense of the client’s position before the Cabinet of Ministers.

Helped an energy company to explore ways of overturning the regulators ruling that the transmission system operator was not independent of its shareholders. The main challenge in the case was focusing on the fiduciary duties of the client’s management in managing the company while the shareholders are creating a conflict of interest and compliance risks.
Representing Small Scale Hydropower Association before the European Commission in relation to the proposed amendments by Latvian government that substantially change the state aid payments to the members of the Association.

Assisting the Latvian Ministry of Economics in creating a single state-owned holding providing business development aid. The entity manages assets worth EUR 500 Mio. through shares in financial institutions LGA, Hipotēku banka and LAF. We showed that the holding would receive in-house services from these institutions, so public procurement rules would not apply.
Assistance to Magnum Medical SIA, a leading Baltic pharmaceutical retail and wholesale company, in acquisition of assets from the Latvian sellers, MedPro Inc., related to manufacturing of food supplements and medicines.
