Our team represents major domestic and international companies from various industries helping to develop protection strategies for their IP, to required registrations at national, regional and international level, as well as to protect the clients’ IP rights against violations.
Representing AS Air Baltic Corporation before the court in a civil dispute with SIA Baltic Taxi where the client asks for invalidation of the conflicting trademark registrations and use prohibition. The first instance court and appellate court ruled to satisfy our client’s claim. The case in pending for review at the Supreme Court.

Representing Red Bull GmbH in trademark invalidation proceedings against trademark PITBULL. Initially Board of Appeal upheld the opposition only partially and the client filed for appeal. The court ruled in favour of Red Bull and invalidated the PITBULL trademark registration completely.

VILGERTS represented AS Latvijas balzams in a trademark opposition case where the opponent’s trademark consisted mainly of non-distinctive elements being disclaimed in the registration. The Board of Appeal ruled to reject the opposition filed against the trademark of AS LATVIJAS BALZAMS.
