IPR: Registered IP rights is good start, but not a guarantee to survive challenges by others.

No doubt, it is wise to protect your IP rights (inventions, designs, trademarks) through registration. Nevertheless, the value of the registration should not be overestimated. Meaning, that it is only for the IP owner itself to assess if its rights are worth anything. Prior searches need to be made to ascertain the existence of earlier rights, prior art, etc. If this is not done, your registration certificate may happen to be just a paper and your rights may be invalidated. If not done before, make sure that you check your rights before bringing an infringement action against the competitor. Certainly, your competitor will take all steps to find any flaws in your IP rights registration.
